What basketball position should i try out for?

I'm 6'2 and wiegh 145lbs, im decent with 3's but better with lay-ups and short shots, also anyone have any tips for trying out for a basketball team? What basketball position should i try out for?
if your playing for high school your best at Small Forward since you dont weigh as much at the JV level the coach might put you as Power Forward because of you size.

i suggest you lift weights and get a little bigger. That way your Junior year you'll be playing Varsity. You have a great size to play a Forward position. Work on your short range shots. if you can shoot a good 80% a game from midrange youll be able to go to any school in the country. What basketball position should i try out for?
SF or SG.What basketball position should i try out for?
It depends if you are good at dribbling. If you are you should be a guard, but if you are bad then you should be a forward.
I played D3 college basketball and I'm 6'6 255 and I played multiple positions. Don't focus your efforts and 3's and totally on offense. I can assure you that any coach in the world will reward a player for rock solid defense. Also if you have any natural basketball abilities, your offense will come, just continue to work on your fundamentals of dribbling, shooting and learning how to play position basketball. As for being a sophomore, dont be satisfied w/ jv, I played varsity as a freshman in high school. As for tryouts, make sure you are in good physical shape and focus on aggressive defense.
