Why did Osama bin Laden want to harm the US and why did he target the twin towers?

For example if he targeted a football game more people would die, or if he targeted a national monument it would cause more long-term harm than a building that contained stock market documents during a time of investigation which called off all the stock market investigations. For example I'd personally feel more hurt if something more personal than a business building that was screwing us over was struck (stock market was crashing in 2000 and in 2001 this happened. So, why did Bin Laden do it in the first place and didn't target London, Paris and other Western countries he had closer associations with/had lived in especially since his family was friends with the prez etc. (for ex. Cheney had breakfast w/ his brother that same morning)?Why did Osama bin Laden want to harm the US and why did he target the twin towers?

The first time a president or vice president has ever taken over NORAD (made in the 50's) was 2 weeks before 9/11. Dick cheney (bushes 3rd cousin) ordered all jets to stand down, instead of takeing out the planes.

I think he has an identity crisis and rebelled against his family. Thus by taking up a religious cause gives someone a self righteous reason to not justify their behaviour. Bin Laden is a psychopath without a conscience who likes playing war games and killing. Are you kidding me? More people would not have died if he target a football game then the WORLD TRADE CENTER! They were a national monument because they were the tallest twin buildings in the world and it was in the middle of new york city instead of a football field in i don't know say alabama colorado Florida ETC. Why would terrorists who hate america so much that they would kill themselves bomb a football field? THEY HATE AMERICA NOT ENGLAND OR FRANCE THAT IS WHY THEY ATTACKED AMERICA!! He wanted the U.S. out of the Middle East; specifically he said he did not want U.S. non-Muslims stationed in Saudi Arabia guarding the holiest places in the Muslim religion. The twin towers were a symbol of America's empire b/c of the business and finance operations based there; the Pentagon should be fairly obvious. He does not want non-Muslims in any of the holy areas, but specifically Mecca in Saudi Arabia.

When you are older you will understand why 9-11 was about making sure America suffered and that the twin towers and Pentagon were very significant buildings in what mental damage would be inflicted on the American public.Bin Laden declared jihad on America.It was 10 yrs or more in planning the events of 9-11.Terrorist had bombed the twin towers in 1993,so the hate has been going on a long time.Our financial district was hit and our military headquarters was hit.This country was in great shape financially until 9-11.9-11 is the reason for what mess you see today.
For whatever reason the terrorist saw the trade center as the symbol of America, Americans just saw them as two tall buildings.



The U.S. broke a promise to Osama and Afghanistan regarding the Afghan war against Russia, they were promised if they fought back against Russia the U.S. would help them economically and politically.
The Twin Towers were the symbol of the American capitalist economy, and the Pentagon was the symbol of the American national defense system.



The plane that crashed in Pennsylvania is believed to have headed for the White House, obviously the symbol of American executive authority.

Don't believe everything you hear. Bin Laden was only peripherally involved with this, in spite of what the media says. He probably provided some funding and greased the wheels in some ways, but it was others that planned the details and executed it. Bin Laden took more credit later when he needed more infamy. The fact is, he's never been charged with a crime concerning this, and his wanted poster says nothing about 9/11. If he was brought to court, he probably couldn't be convicted. As for why they struck the WTC, it's simple, it's one of the most recognizable symbols of American capitalism and culture, and physically and easy target.
