Why the spew of hate for Obama?

It's saddens me reading the posts of my fellow answerers here.

Why do you believe Obama is some racist merely by association? Has anyone in your family ever uttered a racial epithat ("n-word"?)?

Does that make you racist?

Have you even been to church? Have you never heard your pastor say something questionable? how about the Sunday when you stayed home and watched football, maybe he said something then.

Do you have to agree with everything an associate says?

What about republican politicans continuing to give creedence to right-wing televeangelist nutjobs who spew intolerance also?

Did you watch Obama's speech? Did you see how he presented a fair view from many perspectives? About how race is an ignored problem in this country?

We're all in it together people. This is not ever gonna be a homogeneous nation. If you spew hate against Obama, you're reflecting the hate in your own soul.

I'd appreciate honest (and hopefully respectful) answers to these questions. Why the spew of hate for Obama?
Read his first book. You will see how much in agreement he was with his pastor before they even met.

Not "The Audacity of Hope". The first book. I think it's called "Dreams From My Father". Something like that.

He wrote Audacity after he decided he wanted to go into politics and realized he couldn't get elected with just the African-American vote. He needed to write something more centrist.

You don't listen to a pastor every Sunday for 20 years and have him as your "father figure" without accepting his thinking and agreeing with his rhetoric.

I don't hate him. I just won't vote for him. Also, I agree with you about the "Religious Right".

I see your added note. Wrong. My first sentence responds DIRECTLY to the association question. He is not guilty by association, he is guilty of the same wrong thinking.

I read his book, if you haven't, you haven't done the "serious examination" you need to do.
They aren't your "fellow answerers". They are paid partisan hacks, probably paid with YOUR taxes by the Republican National CommitteeWhy the spew of hate for Obama?
respectfully he is not what I want leading my country or troops
Those calling him a racist weren't going to vote for him anywayWhy the spew of hate for Obama?
Maybe Obama should've walked away from Wright a long time ago. He's short changing everyone.
If you've read the posts then you know.
It's not a matter of association, it is a matter of Judgement and then after the fact a Lie (saying he wasn't there when the Reverened Wright gave hateful speeches, and then later say he was)! Thjis is a judgement fault, nothing to do with association!
Obama isn't Jesus. He won't "fix us" or this country.

Be careful with your anger over it. Don't Hate the right wing SO MUCH that you're willing to vote for ANYONE but rebublicans. There is a lot of that going around right now and Hillary and Obama Are praying You hate Bush SO MUCH and Blame him SO MUCH the you will cast your ballet in the left winds and all they have to do is stand there and catch them.
read the bible. god made all men. but, liberals created all these groups of victims? not conservatives. we actually believe what the bible says. love they neighbor, and, love thine enemy. Dem's pit every one against everyone else. its them against us mentality. just be Americans, stop being victims.
And it is time for Obama to start apologizing for what that preacher has said.

Geraldine Ferraro stepped down as an unpaid adviser to Hillary Rodham Clinton after statements she [Ferraro] made about Barack Hussein Obama. Ferraro was absolutely correct when she said that if Obama was a white guy he would not be giving Hillary a challenge. If he was a white guy or another woman Hillary Rodham Clinton would be getting the bulk of the black vote. As it stands right now Obama is getting about 90% of that vote and he is getting it, for the most part, because he is black. Ferraro mentioned that she was selected as a VP candidate because she is a woman but failed to mention that Clinton would not be where she is if she was not married to Bill Clinton. Despite what her supporters say, it is an undeniable truth.

Obama does not want to play the race game, or so he indicates when he says issues, not race will prevail. For her part, Clinton had to jump in and apologize as if she had done something wrong or as if what was said was racist or wrong. The fact is, it was the truth and apologizing makes Hillary appear weak. Hell, when Ferraro stepped down it gave the appearance that she said something wrong and she did not. But when will Obama really remove race from the equation?

When will Obama apologize for the racist things his preacher, Jeremiah Wright, says? Wright has blamed white people (and black Republicans) for all the woes in the black community. Wright has called America the US of KKK and he has stated:

“The government gives them the drugs, builds bigger prisons, passes a three-strike law and then wants us to sing ‘God Bless America.’ No, no, no, God damn America, that’s in the Bible for killing innocent people,”

His contention is that the government targets black people and they are the victim of a plot to get the poor brothers. Wright is a racist pig and Obama needs to quit that church and sever all ties with him. If Obama wants the issues and not race to prevail then Obama needs to remove his own racists from the equation. Otherwise he is proving what we evil whites have known all along. Blacks get away with racism all the time but the slightest hint of racism from a white brings the wrath of the race baiters down. It seems to me that if Wright paid attention he would know that it is buffoons like him who hurt the black community by continuing to encourage them to suckle at the teat of the Democrats who will provide everything for the poor blacks who are supposedly not able to do for themselves. When you espouse dependency then you are admitting you are inferior to those who are not dependent and you become subservient to those who provide. People like Wright ensure that blacks remain enslaved. They removed the cotton fields but not the shackles.

Obama was married in that church and he has listened to Wright for 20 years. He must agree with what Wright says or he would have left the church. Surely if he and his peeps think that Clinton staff should step down for making what they perceive as racist remarks then Obama needs to leave his church and sever ties over what we absolutely know to be racist remarks from his pastor.

I can only assume that Barack Hussein Obama agrees with the message coming from that church and its racist leaders since he has stayed there for 20 years. Obama is a bright man and knows what is being said. Even an idiot would know what kind of message comes from that so called House of God and since Obama stays there he must like what he hears.

I want to know when the Obama followers are going to demand this of their prophet. I want to know when they are going to demand the same things they demand of his opponent.
look up the definition of charlatan. also he is an empty suit.
Rants aren't questions....but...to "answer" your, um, rant, we have our own reasons for disliking Obama. If you don't see the same thing, who isn't fine with that?
Obama is the wrong choice for our country. I don't want a black President for black Americans. I want an American President for Americans.
each person should strive to correct a wrong... be it your pastor or your grandmother... and he did neither
It's been the republican way for twenty years. I'm old enough to remember when members of the two parties actually got along.
Well we don't like feelings to be just one way. The mans wife said she had never been proud of America, he has written things in his books that are unbefitting a president , he belongs to a racist oriented church, the Pastor of that church he considers his mentor, the Pastor who we have all gotten to hear from lately insulting the country insulting any black republican and claiming that our government is racist, he as much as accused his own grandmother of making statements comparable to his Pastors, the woman who took him in and raised him in a time when it would have been more common for the family to shun him, those are not the actions of a racist but his Pastors are.

A man that would listen to that hatred for twenty years and call him a mentor and then make him an adviser in his campaign most assuredly shares that hatred.

In case you don't remember a mans career was ended for no more than saying the word makaka as a mispronunciation of a mans name.

Now your party started strapping those shoes to peoples feet whether they fit or not so when one of your turns up wearing those shoes by choice and with spurs you have no reason to complain.
if your born of a Muslim father, your a Muslim for life plenty of fear there
I think Bill has all of Hillary's staff on here spewing the garbage. I will vote for McCain but I would rather see Obama be the Democrat.
