Is this reasonable for my current car, year, and location. I feel I could get it done cheaper in my hometown at a mechanic I personally know.|||You probably could get the job done cheaper with someone in your hometown, but if the problem is severe enough you may not be able to drive it safely back home to have the work done. I don't think this repair cost is outrageous but try shopping around. You might call your mechanic and ask him for an estimate for what it would cost to do this repair at his shop then calculate how much will you lose in time and the road trip home to see if it would even be worth the savings. You may also just get the brakes fixed and have the other things done in your hometown. The only thing I would make sure of is that the shop doing the repair guarantees their work and parts. I have seen a flexible rubber brake hose on the front cause this same problem after all of the brake pads rotors and calipers were replaced and the problem still existed. Make sure you don't pay for what the vehicle didn't need to fix the problem. The suspension parts could also cause a pull if they are worn badly enough, you didn't state what their condition was and why they were recommended for replacement. The other parts may be necessary but with tough economic times they may also be upselling services to make more money, it goes back to how well you trust the people making the repair. Good Luck|||Hey do not return for the actual repairs.

this shop is padding your bill. I'm a mechanic with 22 yrs

experience. You did not mention if the vehicle pulls when braking

only or all the time.if only when braking then its brake related.

was the vehicle in a accident or did you hit a curb?

other wise you have and front end problem such as alignment issue

the charge for the pads is to high, the charge for pin service and replace rotors should included in the pad replacement cost.

here in los angeles california you can get the the muffler installed for $75.00 Get a second opinion on all work they recommend.this should not cost more than $400.00 total.
