What other sports do you watch apart from the NHL?
I am a Canadian living in Vancouver, BC so I follow the -
Canadian Football League [CFL] BC Lions
World Wrestling Entertainment [WWE]
And a little bit of -
National Basketball Association [Toronto Raptors]
I hate the NFL, No Fun League
So how about you?Hockey Fans?? What Other sports do you watch?
Wow, you look just like the American Mickey. :b
I like the NFL. Yeah, it's a bummer that they enforce such ridiculous rules and subsequent fines for breaking them, but I still like good old American football. Besides, being a Steelers fan is pretty much required by law here in Pittsburgh.
If I see figure skating on TV when I'm flipping through the channels... I'm not gonna lie, I get sucked into it. LOL. There goes all my remaining credibility and respect here in Yahoo! Answers. Oh well.
Also, I can get sucked into tennis from time to time.
I've watched a tiny bit of (NBA) basketball in the past year, and I gotta say, I didn't hate it. I don't think I'll ever love it, but I could watch it if someone wanted me to watch it with them.
I don't like baseball, soccer, golf, and curling (don't get butthurt Canadians).
Hockey is and will always be my favorite. %26lt;3
I watch NFL football (Philadelphia Eagles).
MLS soccer (I won't have to watch Philadelphia Union, I'll be there)
EUFA and its tournament, plus Champions League, Olympic soccer, and World Cup.
PGA Tour.
Boxing.
Skiing.
A little bit of baseball (I live near Philly, but Oakland is my team - games not available here).
I don't follow basketball.
I watch hockey, but not the Flyers. I have too much respect for my vision.Hockey Fans?? What Other sports do you watch?
I love the MLB and have followed that along with the NHL my whole life. I eat and breathe hockey and baseball. I also will watch lacrosse as the Philly team has a pretty strong following. I'll follow the NFL but the games get boring to me sometimes, and as for the NBA, well, don't even get me started, it's a joke.
BTW - The NFL has the least amount of action time per game. I remember seeing a study once that timed how long the ball/object was in play during the game and it was something like this.
NHL - 60minutes
NBA - 45 minutes
MLB - 8 minutes
NFL - 5 minutes
I can watch pretty much all of them and golf. I'm really starting to get into curling in the past few years. This year, I don't know if it's watching who's going to represent Canada at the Olympics (Jennifer Jones' team) or increased hotties at the Scotties tournament that made me watch more in the past few days. But hockey and golf are the ones I watch religiously.
Side note: baseball and NASCAR are not sports.Hockey Fans?? What Other sports do you watch?
I watch baseball alot (jus as much as hockey except a lil bit less)
I watch the NBA sometimes...
I dnt really watch football but i keep up with the scores but not recently cuz my team wasnt in the Superbowl or Championship.... But if im really bored and nuthin to do i watch the game...
I watch the WWE but since Jeff Hardy is gone i hvnt been watching anymore even though my fav is Cena...
NHL: Flyers
MLB: Phillies
NBA: Sixers even though they suck
NFL: Patriots then Eagles
WWE: John Cena %26amp; the Undertaker
Tennis - The only individual sport I follow. It's really a beautiful sport to watch and follow if you get into it.
NFL - I follow my teams in the regular season but I don't keep up in the playoffs. It's usually because my teams fail so miserably...this season I kind of got sick of football though. WAY too much media coverage here in the U.S.
NBA - I watch a regular season game here and there but I only follow the playoffs for the most part.
MLB - I've maybe watched no more than one hour of baseball in my life, no joke. Never liked the sport, never will. It's too slow, not to mention that too many players are juiced up and don't have the guts to man up to it.
Soccer - I only watch the World Cup every four years or so...it hardly gets media coverage in the U.S. anyways. It's a bit too slow for my tastes...and I thought hockey was low-scoring.
Hockey really is a great sport in many more ways than one. I only wish I could share my enjoyment of it with more people, which is the main reason why I came here on Y!A.
you mean there's other sports besides hockey?
when i got married, my wife told me i could follow ONE sport. being canadian it was the law that i choose hockey.
sometimes if i wake-up early enough on a sunday morning, i can watch a F1 race without her knowing...lol
Yeah the only sport I care about is hockey. Not just the Penguins either I like to watch other teams too.
Now don't get me wrong I'll sit down and watch a Steelers or Pirates game with you when it's on TV anytime but only if it the Pirates or Steelers and not the Dallas Cowboys or the Yankees and Im not exactly um.. upset if they lose. Get what Im saying?
Oh yeah I would never buy/wear any Pirates/Steelers gear either.
I basically just watch the "big 4". My order from most to least:
1. NFL
2. NHL (very close behind NFL, possibly even)
3. MLB
4. NBA
I also try to catch some of the bigger tennis tournaments, as well as college football, basketball, and hockey)
NBA: Raptors (BIg Fan)
MLB: Blue Jays (But they Suck)
CFL: Argos (They suck too)
NFL: Patriots. Supported the Saints Yesterday!
MLS: Toronto FC (I Love watching them)
As you can tell I'm from T.O.
But Hockey Will always be the Favourite!
In order from most to least:
NHL: I watch most teams
CFL: I try and catch every Lions game that I'm not at
NFL: New England Patriots and New Orleans Saints (woot woot!)
Golf: Whenever Tiger is playing
Tennis: I watch some matches from the major tournaments
NBA: Very rarely I'll watch a game if the Suns are playing (Nash being from BC)

Besides hockey, I also watch skiing, soccer and lacrosse. Canadian football if it's on.
Baseball and football, mostly. College, too. I'm starting to get into Nascar as well.
I just watch the Habs play...yeah that's about it
it's seems that the NHL is the most entertaining pro sport to watch (in my opinion)
I also like the BC Lions
Sometimes I watch soccer
I get super girly outside of hockey...I'm all about gymnastics lol
I like all sports! The more competition the merrier.
curling
To a real Vancouver person, hockey is a foreign game played by easterners.
