Is it an attempt at english glory by association or is it blatant racism/sectarianism?
i know that this is not ''scottish football'' but we are accused often enough by the media of sectarianism etc
Thoughts, please..Why do the media insist on calling Turkish international Kazim Kazim, Colin Kazim Richards?
For political reasons he is called Kazim Kazim. His birth certificate says Colin Kazim-Richards but Kazim Kazim is what he is called in the Turkish League. It gives him more of a chance of playing, as a Turkish national, because of the six-foreigner rule. Also in Turkey you are not allowed to have a christian name at the back of your shirt. Thats the reason hes called Kazim Kazim...........
Kazim Kazim is his Muslim name and he wears that on a Saturday at the Mosque but Colin Richards is his Christian name and he wears that on a Sunday in Church.
Maybe Mrs Richards had an affair with the local Turkish kebab seller and his name is Kazim Kazim King of Kebabs? Maybe not though!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Why do the media insist on calling Turkish international Kazim Kazim, Colin Kazim Richards?
"Colin Kazim-Richards realising Turkish dream" Is from the times look the link
Because his birth name is Colin Kazim Richards and he was born and raised in England and just moved to Turkey last year, know your facts before you go attacking people and sounding like a w*nker. Why do the media insist on calling Turkish international Kazim Kazim, Colin Kazim Richards?
He had to change his name to Kazim Kazim to be a Turkish citizen but I think he still likes to go as Colin.
morning wee feet colin is his name but i guess the english press and commentators cant help themselves missing england in the competition
good question i was wondering that myself? i know his real name and that he was born in the UK but i think he should be called by the name he wants to be known as?...
..his name is Colin..
i was just thinking that i'd like to go somewhere rather than Italy this year..maybe Cuba..still thinking about it though.
i have been wondering that for ages now
i dont know
maybe its because he is turkish now so thats the turkish way of saying his name ???
the turks told him he must display his turkish name. imagine if we did the other way round.there would be outrage.
In Turkey he's name is Kazim.
no idea... clearly they think the title suits him
