I have to get some brake work done on my car. Has anyone had any good or bad experiences with Monroe Muffler/Brake? Are they expensive? Thanks.|||ONCE I went to Monroe... NEVER again.
I'm a girl and I drive a truck. Please don't let the pink fingernail polish fool you. I do know a little about trucks. I went in for front brake pads. They tried to charge me for front %26amp; rear break pads AND roters. To the tune of over $700. Needless to say while I was questioning them they spoke to me like I was a flaming idiot. When I told them that even for all that work the final bill should have been about half and asked to see my old parts they couldn't produce them. But when I started "causeing a scene" they finally offered to replace my old parts
"only because your due for an inspection in two weeks and it will not pass."
Funny how it took 3 hours at first and only 20 min to replace the parts they couldn't find ten minutes before. When I was whining at work one of the guys told me a lot of the places like that will try to take advantage of you. You are better off asking around for a good private machnic... not a chain. Good luck!|||no,dont go there, take it from someone who knows.they are expensive and they will rip you off.go to a small mech.they will be cheap and do just as good as job as the big ones do.i put my own on,in a matter of fact,i do all my work on my car.that way i know its done right.|||For legal sakes I can not answer that question as directed but can say I know some good private mechanics that will help you out for a great price! Can you find meaning in that phrase, and by the way, if you have a lot of money you don't know what to do with, would you please send some my way! I can always find use for some! Hope this answers your inquiry!
