I HAVE A 94 BUICK ROADMASTER I TOOK IT TO MONROE MUFFLER AND BRAKE FOR A TRANSMISSION FLUSH, AFTER I GOT IT BACK TRANS STARTED TO SLIP, I LOOKED TO ME AS IF THERE WAS TOO MUCH TRANS FLUID, AUTO ZONE TOLD ME THAT IT TAKES 11.2 QUARTS TO FILL IT WITH TORQUE CONVERTER AND ALL, BUT MY BILL ALSO SAYS THEY CHARGED ME FOR 16 QUARTS
I WANTED TO KNOW IF THEY MAY HAVE ADDED TO MUCH OR IF AUTOZONE WAS WRONG OR IF IT THATS ACTUALLY HOW MUCH IT TAKES PLZ LET ME KNOW THANKS|||If I remember right, my 1994 z28 with the same 4L60-E transmission was 8.5 qts for a drain and refill and 11+ for a full flush. 16 definitely seems like way too much and can definitely make it slip. But, if you bring it back, it may not have damaged the tranny... yet. but if it did... they are definitely at fault.|||I would look online for the actual 94 buick roadmaster transmission repair manual (Big Green Book) and look at how much it actual is, and if they put 16 and charged you for 16 and your trans is slipping because of that I would take them to court and have them buy you a new trans|||autozone is never wrong about that kind of stuff, maybe they screwed up draining the torque converter, or the screwed up filling it back up. call em up and ask em
